Operated by Pete, the local tour guide offering cruises that are very flexible and don't run to a timetable or a set route, available 7 days a week. Pete will help you discover the Kenepuru Sound and can tailor your tour to whatever you want it to be. Pete will take you for a cruise through the third largest waterway within the Marlborough Sounds where you will learn about the green lipped mussels and much more! You can also be delivered to your own remote beach with a picnic. See below for some of his options.

Where can we take you?


Cruise around the Kenepuru Sound with Pete to see and hear about the Greenshell mussel industry, lifestyles and occupations, history and the birdlife, flora and fauna. Complimentary fresh mussels - optional. Cruise can be combined with walking transfers or dining out.

Queen Charlotte Track

Drop off/pickup from Portage or Te Mahia to walk the track between these two destinations.

Putanui Point Walk

Boat access only - 5km track through native bush.

Transport to Holiday Destination

Connections at Torea Bay, or pickup/drop off at Portage, Te Mahia and Havelock.

Other Reasons

Play golf at Nopera Bay Golf Club. This is a challenging 9 hole course in the heart of Kenepuru Sound, situated on a working farm. You will be sharing the course with pukekos and wild ducks.
